Learn how to hold small group conversations that feel fair and welcoming. You’ll practise a range of techniques, from establishing group agreements to calming conflict – and leave with the confidence to guide discussions where everyone’s voice is heard.

Culture shapes everything. This session focuses on trust, listening and detecting bias, considers what “inclusion” means in practice. Through exercises and stories, we reflect on good and bad experiences of working together – and how Assemble’s role is in service to the wider movement.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH & MOBILISATION

Assemblies succeed because of conversations on the doorstep. This training shows how to approach neighbours with respect and openness, to listen deeply and spark interest in a campaign. You’ll practise using an outreach script, share feedback and see how from everyday conversations can grow a team of volunteers.

HOW TO RUN AN
ASSEMBLY

Assemblies turn distance and hopelessness into shared decision-making and collective action. Here we cover the building blocks: strategy, outreach, design and facilitation. You’ll practise outreach methods, reflect on design choices and see how local assemblies can connect to national change.
